Autumn 1

In design and technology this half term we will be learning about stable structures!

Children will be making brand new chairs for baby bear because Goldilocks has broken it!

Autumn 2

Design Technology will focus on mechanisms and the children will make a moving monster.  They will also practice joining techniques to make a fabric pouch.

Spring 1

Time to get messy! Our first art unit is all about sculpture and children will be experimenting with clay!

They will learn how to shape and join pieces of clay together.

They will investigate making different types of marks in clay with all sorts of tools.

Children will also design and create their own clay tiles.

Spring 2

Map it out! This unit focuses on teaching children to explore and create maps through a mix of art forms, including drawing, working in relief, printmaking, and designing stained glass.
